Lubbock Cooper Graduate Dies After Being Thrown From Fire Truck

Going to save someone else's life cost him his own. Brian Hunton grew up in Lubbock, but moved to Amarillo to serve as a firefighter.

Saturday night on the way to a house fire, he fell from the fire truck as it took a sharp turn. He suffered severe head injuries and died Monday morning.

Monday, flags at all Amarillo fire houses flew at half-staff. Hunton was 24 years old and a Lubbock Cooper graduate.
