  • The Lubbock City Council held a special meeting to discuss the expansion of Milwaukee Avenue. Thursday, the council will vote on a contract bid for construction that stretches from 34th Street to 92nd Street.
  • Lubbock County Commissioners have designated May as National Drug Court Month. It's a program established here in Lubbock that focuses on rehabilitating first time offenders.
  • Covenant Health Systems is now operating under a new CEO. Monday was Steven Hunter's first day on the job. He comes to Lubbock from Oklahoma.
