The Nazareth Swifts had a stellar 9-2 season a year ago and John Stanaland hopes to springboard that to something even better.
"Having a little bit of success in Nazareth is kinda feeding the fire. They're excited. We hope to build on it and move on," he said.
The Swifts will be quicker and faster this year and they have a tough non-district schedule with games against Rule, Petersburg, Ropes, New Home, Borden County, Happy and Kress.
With Coach Stanaland entering his 4th season, he is looking for something that eluded him his first 3 seasons: a district title.
"We went south. We are excited to get out of the North. Hart, Whiteface, Anton and us. It will be a competitive district. We want a district championship and not just to win but have a long playoff run and we are built to do that this year."
