A 7-month-old baby is dead after a car accident in Dawson County on Tuesday.
DPS Troopers say the child was not restrained properly. It happened around 10:30 Tuesday morning on County Road W, two miles South of O'Donnell.
21-year-old Tina Froese lost control of her truck, slid into a bar ditch and flipped over. That is when Froese carried her two sons, 7-month-old Benny, and 3-year-old Johnny to a house two miles away.
AeroCare flew the 7-month-old to Covenant where the child was pronounced dead. Troopers say the baby was in an infant carrier, but he was not strapped in. The carrier was also not fastened to the seat.
