A Plainview man is behind bars Monday, accused of robbing a hair salon with a machete.

The Plainview Herald says 36-year-old Kevin Wayne Carter is in the Hale County Jail, charged with aggravated robbery after being arrested at CJ's Hair Salon on Saturday afternoon.

A woman who was present during the robbery posted about it on Facebook later that afternoon:

"I was getting my hair done & a strange man walked into the salon and told us he was a vampire or something like a fallen angel and that he needed what we call on this Earth money to give him the money and pulled out a huge machete...

"Everyone else ran out the back door when he turned his back but I didn't know that everyone else ran (my stylist told me to run but I didn't hear her) So I just sat there panicked and frozen. He came over and went to grab my phone and I tried to grab it too and he jerked it out of my hand and told me that he would kill me and started backing up, swinging the machete and spitting on the floor saying we couldn't walk where he spits and then when he turned his back the second time I ran out the back door..."

Carter remains behind bars on $25,000 bond.
