The Texas Tech football team started Fall camp on Monday, but practice was delayed for an hour due to lightning in the area.
But the delay didn’t tamper the attitude of the team, as they hit the ground running.
“I am looking forward to that indoor for sure, I guess it's been about three times this summer that we have been effected. But, that’s part of it and it was good to be back out there,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said.
“We were really amped up, you can tell in the locker room that everyone was a little jittery. But, stuff like that happens and you have to go out there and bring the energy when you get out there. And, I feel like we did right from the start, and that carried over into practice,” junior quarterback Patrick Mahomes said.
“It’s not fun to have to sit there and wait an extra hour to get out there, especially on day one when we are already jittery just trying to get out there. But, once we got out there we brought a lot of energy and had a good practice I thought,” senior safety Keenan Ward says.
