After a strong 11-2 season, the Crosbyton Chiefs look to keep things going in 2016.

Despite only two offensive and three defensive starters back, Coach Brannon Rodgers has high hopes.

"We lost 16 seniors so we're going to be rebuilding with a lot of younger kids but we feel like we have a lot of good kids to put in those places. They tasted success. That's contagious and they want to keep that going. They expect to win. They've had great success and great expectations."

Crosbyton plays Tahoka, Farwell, Sudan, SpringLake-Earth and Smyer in Non-District. That should prepare them for District.

"Wellington dropped down. They're going to be a frontrunner. Memphis has good quality players returning. I think us, Lockney, Ralls and Clarendon are gonna be battling to compete with those two guys. We want to win District and make as long a run in the playoffs as we can."
