LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Lubbock Police Department responded to a 911 call about a traffic accident at 19th and Slide Road at 2:30 a.m.

When they arrived they learned a woman jumped out of a moving vehicle.

Moments later a white Jeep was driving on the same road and had to swerve to avoid hitting the woman.

The woman who jumped was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and police tell KCBD her injuries were from exiting the moving vehicle, not from the other car.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.
