18-year-old arrested for deadly conduct

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

An 18-year-old man is behind bars today, after police say he recklessly discharged his gun at a party early Saturday. 

Robert Hurst is facing two felony counts of deadly conduct and tampering with or fabricating evidence.

According to a police report, just before 1 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a street fight in the 2700 block of 31st St. 

When they arrived a group ran into the house and that's when police heard a single gunshot inside the house.

Police say Hurst was trying to clear his firearm and recklessly discharged it

No one was injured during the incident.
