LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Let's go fishing.

That's what thousands said today as they came out for Vamos a Pescar.

The annual event hosted by Los Hermanos Familia always draws a big crowd.

Buddy Holly Lake was stocked full of catfish for this event.

A father and daughter had a chance to make it out to the event.

"We come every year," says Victor Torres. "This is actually the first year we caught three fish. We are pretty proud, happy, excited."

"All that waiting all those year, we haven't caught anything," says his daughter Sadie. "I guess this makes up for all those years. We are having a great time. Food, friends, family. Spending time with your family probably the best thing, and having a good time."

And while they always have a good time, they today was extra fun.
