Texas Tech women's soccer knocks off Denver 2-0

DENVER, CO -

The No. 19 ranked Texas Tech women's finished its preseason with a 2-0 victory on the road against Denver on Saturday night.

Freshman forward Jade King continues to impress as she scored both Red Raider goals 

King's first goal came in the seventh minute to give Tech a 1-0. Just a few minutes later she scored her second on a pass from Freshman midfielder mary Heiberger. That goal came in the 12th minute.

Tech returns to Lubbock for a final week of preseason practice before beginning the 2016 regular season. 

The season starts with a seven-match home stand in Lubbock. The Red Raiders will first play New Mexico at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
