Bradley Adkins to compete in Olympic high jump qualifier

RIO DE JANIERO -

Idalou native and Texas Tech Red Raider Bradley Adkins is set to compete in the men's high jump qualifier during this evening's track and field session in Rio.

Tonight at 6:30 p.m. Adkins will jump in Group B, along with 43 other high jumpers looking to get past the first cut.

Adkins can advance with a qualifying clearance of 2.31m/7-7, or be in the final group of the top 12 performers in the competition.

If he does advance, the final will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

6:20 p.m.: Men's high jump: qualifying; women's 400m: semifinal; women's triple jump: final; men's 100m: semifinal; women's 1500m: semifinal; men's 400m: final; men's 100m: final
