Fatal motorcycle accident near Walmart off 4th and Frankford

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person is dead after a motorcycle collided with a car behind the Walmart at 4th St. and Frankford Ave around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Witnesses at the scene tell KCBD the 2004 Suzuki motorcycle was heading west along the W Loop 289 access road when it hit a gray 2008 Honda Accord exiting to the rear of Walmart. 

The driver of the motorcycle Brendon Everett, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The driver of the Honda, Jose Gonzalez, 20, was not injured.

The Lubbock Police Department Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident at this time.
