City Council Discusses Toll-Way In Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A drive down Marsha Sharp Freeway may cost you. Lubbock City Council is pondering the idea of a toll-way. Planning committees say a toll could help speed up construction by at least six years. Drivers would pay $1 to drive each direction of an eight-mile stretch of the freeway. That's about twelve cents per mile.

City Council is expected to set up public hearings on the issue before making any decisions.
