Police Investigate Identity Theft Ring

A warning to lock your vehicles. Lubbock police are investigating an identity theft ring that began by stealing personal information from unlocked vehicles.

Molly Perez Garcia is in police custody, charged with a number of identity theft related crimes. She's believed to have stolen sixteen credit cards, checkbooks, drivers licenses and social security cards from unlocked cars.

Police arrested the 36-year-old at the La Quinta hotel on Avenue Q Monday night. They are now looking for 26-year old Felecia Valles. They say there may be more suspects linked to this identity theft ring.
