It's a growing concern even here in Lubbock, the availability of drugs through online black markets.

Chris Asikis, a Counselor at Dove Tree, says parents should know that even teens can access this dark web because all they need is a credit card.

He says, "There's really no age limit because there's no regulation to show. The potential risk is extreme. It's a dark web and there's multiple websites out there, anything from marijuana to high powered  pharmaceutical grade opiates 100 times more powerful than morphine."

Chris says since the websites are not regulated, and it's completely anonymous, the potential for overdose is really high.

He says, "anyone who has access to a computer and a debit card  would be able to access these websites online."

So, Chris offers this suggestion to parents: check bill payments carefully and if you see anything ordered from a company that sounds suspicious, check it out because there are multiple websites providing illegal drugs to anyone who will pay.
