8 residents displaced by Tuesday evening structure fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Eight people have been displaced by a Tuesday evening structure fire that damaged four apartments.

Lubbock fire crews were called to the 3200 block of 64th Street around 7 p.m. and put out a grease fire in the kitchen.

But the fire had spread to the attic and they were called back at 7:15 p.m.

One unit suffered fire damage to the kitchen and heavy smoke damage. The other three apartments suffered some smoke damage.

Most fire crews had cleared the scene by 8:30 p.m.
