LFR called to deal with swarm of bees at 48th & Bangor

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock Fire Rescue got an unusual call on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m. they were called to 48th and Bangor to deal with a swarm of bees!

The bees were under a shed in a back yard and were extremely aggressive. The fire crew managed to knock them down with a foam stream that coated their wings and prevented them from flying.

Gafford Pest Control responded to kill the hive.

Four people were transported from the scene by EMS.

    A Brownfield man has been indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges after a wrong-way hit-and-run crash were stolen guns were recovered. The hit-and-run crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on February 22, 2017 near 130th Street and Indiana Ave.
