LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

There is a new organization at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lubbock dedicated to helping others and they are in need of some funds for their mission.

The Men's Network Group offers property repairs and cleanup to people in the church neighborhood as well as church members.

The group recently volunteered their time building a fence for a retired resident in the area.

The men volunteer their time, but need monetary help to pay for the tools and materials they need to complete these projects.

On Saturday, August 27th they will host a barbeque luncheon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be brisket and sausage with all of the trimmings.

The church is located at 2221 Avenue W in Lubbock.

Adult plates are $8 for one meat. The combo plates are $10.

Children between the ages of 6 and 12 can eat for $5.

Children five and under are free.

There will also be live music at the event.
