The Lubbock Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened Saturday night at the 7-Eleven at 501 University Ave.

Police tell KCBD that three males entered the convenience store just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday. One of the suspects selected a case of beer and exited the store without paying, along with the two other individuals.

A store employee followed the three suspects outside to get a vehicle description. Police say one of the suspects then fired several shots into the air.
