1 arrested after armed robbery attempt in Central Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person is behind bars and another is on the run after two failed robbery attempts at the Middleton Place Apartments.

It happened just before 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of 44th Street. 

Police say two men went to an apartment and pointed handguns at a victim and demanded money. The victim closed the door on the suspects.

The two suspects attempted another robbery in the parking lot but they were unsuccessful.

During an investigation, police identified one of the suspects as 18-year-old Ryan Gonzales.

Gonzales was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center and charged with aggravated robbery.
