LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

During a podcast on Aug. 2, 2016, Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury discussed having fake social media accounts to troll his players' activity.

Today's on ESPN's College Football Live, analysts asked if he and his staff are going too far or are they doing the right thing to protect his team?

During the podcast interview, AJ Hawk and Kingsbury began talking about social media and the added pressure to the team and specific players. During the discussion, Hawk asked, "Do you have somebody on staff that pilfers through your team's Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and makes sure they're not saying anything stupid? Or if they do, do you let them know?"

Kingsbury responded with, "Yeah we do, and we'll ask them to take it down immediately and we have fake accounts with cute girls that they add, and you know, right now, and we can see who's tweeting what. But those are heavily monitored."

AJ Hawk: "So you have like undercover cops posing as girls?"

Kingsbury: "[Staffers] posing as cute co-eds, yes. "

AJ Hawk: "The players know this, don't they?"

Kingsbury: "I think they do, but you know, they can't resist that."

AJ Hawk: "Of course they can't. They've got five million different 18-19 year old girls reaching out to them.

Kingsbury: "A friend request from a cute girl is an automatic follow."

AJ Hawk: "Do you troll them with those fake accounts and ask them to send pics to see what their judgment's like?"

Kingsbury: (laughing) "We prolly could get there. Catfish 'em on that deal. But no, we have about once a year, we'll capture the most absurd posts that our team makes and have a big presentation. We try to have fun with it."

AJ Hawk: "That's good man. You need to lean into it. You own it."
