Wolfforth police recover property stolen in vehicle burglaries

WOLFFORTH, TX (KCBD) -

Wolfforth police have impounded a vehicle believed to have been used in recent vehicle burglaries in Wolfforth, Lubbock and Lubbock County.

Officers were able to recover many items of stolen property from the vehicle, including stolen handguns.

Wolfforth officers are working with Lubbock police and the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office to identify and arrest burglary suspects.

Wolfforth police remind residents to please lock their vehicles and do not leave valuables in vehicles, particularly handguns.

If your vehicle was burglarized please report it to your local law enforcement agency.

    Today, the City of Lubbock has received several reports of scammers claiming to be Lubbock Power and Light employees who threatened to disconnect services if an immediate payment was not made by the customer. These scammers are targeting both residential and commercial customers and are using an ‘800’ number.
