LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Christian Castro, 21, a key figure in the Mark Ysasaga investigation, was indicted by a Lubbock County Grand Jury on Tuesday, charged with Retaliation after an incident on Aug. 18.

Castro was arrested early Wednesday morning, Aug. 17, and charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest after Lubbock police say he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.

Castro bonded out of jail around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, but was booked back in to the Lubbock County Detention center by 8:45 p.m. Thursday on charges of retaliation.

Officials tell us these charges stem from Castro threatening to sodomize an officer's wife during his arrest on Wednesday.

Right now he is being held on a $100,000 bond.

In all, Castro spent a little over 24 hours behind bars before being released for 13 hours and then being re-booked once again.

Castro has a plea negotiation hearing scheduled for Sept. 1 for an aggravated assault charge from earlier this year.

Castro was a person of interest in the Mark Ysasaga murder investigation and is believed to be one of the last people to see Mark alive.
