LPD: Man injured after possible fall from vehicle on S. Loop 289 at Canton

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A man was injured after possibly falling from a moving vehicle on South Loop 289 at Canton. Police believe he may have also been run over.

Officers responded to report of an assault on the access road of South Loop 289 near Canton just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A witness says two men were seen pulling the man off the roadway onto a sidewalk nearby. One of the men asked a person who stopped at the scene to use a cell phone to call EMS. Once EMS was called, the two men left.

After investigating, police discovered the victim may have fallen from a moving vehicle and was possibly run over. 

The victim was taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.
