City offices closed for Labor Day holiday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

City of Lubbock says their offices will be closed Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day.

These offices include:

Residential

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, there will be no trash collection on Monday, September 5. Monday's normally scheduled trash dumpster and cart collection will be moved to Tuesday, and Tuesday's normally scheduled trash dumpster collection will be moved to Wednesday. Scheduled trash collection for Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9 will not be affected. 

Recycling

The City of Lubbock drop-off Recycling and Citizen Convenience Stations at 1631 84th Street, 208 Municipal Drive, 7308 Milwaukee Avenue, and 4307 Adrian Street will also be closed on Monday, September 5.

Landfill

The West Texas Region Disposal Facility and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will be closed on Monday, September 5.

Libraries

All library locations will be closed on Monday, September 5. Library regular operating hours will be observed during the weekend.

Municipal Museums

Both the Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum will be closed Monday, as usual. They will operate in their regular hours during the weekend.
