Karin McCay Wins Anson Jones Award

Special recognition to HeatlhWise for a story that aired a year ago this month.

Representatives from the Texas Medical Association and the Lubbock Crosby Garza Medical Society surprised NewsChannel 11 Tuesday with an award ceremony in the studio. They made a special trip to Lubbock because, for the 15th year, Karin McCay was named first place winner of the Anson Jones Award. Also recognized were photojournalist Ruben Villarreal and editor Nathan Boyd.

The winning story is "Tribute to Lynnetta", which the judges called powerful, emotional and educational. Congratulations Karin!
