Lubbock-Cooper HS new wing dedication to be held on Sept. 6

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock-Cooper ISD will host a dedication ceremony for the new wing of Lubbock-Cooper High School at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6.

The wing, constructed with funds from the district's 2014 bond package, includes 50 classrooms, a new gymnasium and locker area, storage, and more. Modern additions include glass nanowalls which breakaway for easy class collaboration, adjustable tables, casual seating areas, and desks designed for unique arrangement. 

Tuesday's ceremony will include a ribbon cutting and tour of the new facilities.

Special guests will include LCISD superintendent Keith Bryant and current district administrators, former superintendent Pat Henderson, current and former Board Members, members of the architecture and construction teams who worked on the project, and community leaders.

Lubbock-Cooper High School is located at 16302 Loop 493, near the intersection of Woodrow Road and Highway 87.

The dedication ceremony will be located in the Art Hall (enter LCHS main doors, turn left, walk through Commons Area to east side of building).
