Man shot near Firehouse nightclub arrives at homicide investigation for help

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A man is recovering after he was shot outside of Firehouse Grill and Bar at 17th and Buddy Holly around 12 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers were at the scene of a homicide investigation, near 21st and Avenue P, when a red pickup truck pulled up.

The driver, 25-year-old Miguel Angel Flores told police that he had been shot and was being chased.

Officers spotted the suspect vehicle down the street, but it took off before they could get to it. EMS took Flores to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators found multiple bullet holes in the truck, but Flores was only grazed.

Police tell us that the shooting actually happened a few blocks away at the Firehouse.

So far, no arrests have been made.
