Man arrested after stabbing at Hunter's Way Apartment

One man is behind bars after a reported stabbing incident at a Southwest Lubbock apartment complex late Friday. 

According to police, Zachary Smyser, 21, stabbed the victim (18) in the neck after an argument broke out. Several friends of the two involved were also present at the scene. 

The stabbing took place at a residence at the Hunter's Way Apartments, located in the 5500 block of 56th Street.

Smyser was taken into custody with incident. He has been charged with aggravated assaut. 

The victim was taken to Covenant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
