Lubbock Students Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo marks the day Mexico defeated French troops in a battle outside of Mexico City.

Thursday, Lubbockites celebrated the annual holiday with Mexican traditions. Students at Westwind Elementary watched traditional Mexican dancers and listened to Mariachi music. They then feasted on Mexican food.
