Fog Blamed For Head-On Collision In West Lubbock County

Weather is blamed for a head-on collision in West Lubbock County Thursday morning. It happened on FM 179 at 50th Street just before 8 a.m.

Authorities say 17-year-old Emily Smith was driving in heavy fog and did not see a stalled vehicle blocking the roadway. She swerved into oncoming traffic and hit a pick-up head on. Fortunately, all three people injured are in good condition.
