77th and Quaker closed for concrete valley gutter construction

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

On Monday, September 12, Lone Star Dirt and Paving, under contract with the City of Lubbock, began maintenance work at the intersection of 77th Street and Quaker Avenue.

Access to 77th Street, from Quaker Avenue will be closed for the duration of the job. 

The scope of this project is to replace the existing drainage with a concrete valley gutter.

Southbound Quaker Avenue, from 74th to 77th will be reduced down to two lanes.

Motorists are urged to allow extra time for delays or to find alternate routes.

This work will take approximately one week to complete depending upon weather and construction.
