From Plainview Independent School District

Plainview police say the situation is now under control and we have the all clear to move students to Coronado.

Coronado classes will still begin two hours late. This allows time to move bus students from Ash and other campuses to Coronado.

Thank you all for working with us on the delay this morning.

Here's the initial message that was posted the Plainview ISD's facebook page:

CORONADO MIDDLE SCHOOL DELAYED START TIME TODAY, September 14. Out of an abundance of caution, the start time for Coronado has been delayed this morning. Police are working a situation in the neighborhood near Coronado (NOT ON THE CORONADO CAMPUS) and we need to keep traffic out of the area. Parents who wish to do so may drop students off at Ash High School, 908 Ash St. School personnel are there to help with students. Buses will take students from Ash to Coronado as soon as it is clear to do so.
