INTERACTIVE MAP: Lubbock No. 1 for alcohol-involved crashes in Texas

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A new study released by 1 Point 21 Interactive shows Lubbock has the most alcohol-involved crashes per capita in Texas.

The study, done in partnership with Dallas attorney Aaron Herbert plotted 24,635 alcohol involved crashes in the state of Texas.

Lubbock was No. 1 with 139.23 crashes.

San Antonio was No. 2 with 135.75.

Austin, Arlington, El Paso, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Plano, Fort Worth, Houston, and Laredo rounded out the top 10.

The Texas Department of Transportation says most crashes happen on Sunday morning between 2 and 3 a.m., with 891 happening during this time in 2015 alone.
