LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

19-year-old Zachary Jordon Bartlett is behind bars this afternoon, after police say he rammed his vehicle into his ex-girlfriend's vehicle in the South Plains Mall parking lot.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. at 6002 Slide Road.

Police say Bartlett fled when police arrived and a short pursuit began.

The police report says Bartlett actually drove back into the parking lot and drove toward his ex-girlfriend, until an officer actually placed his patrol vehicle between them.

The suspect came to a stop and engaged in a short struggle with police until he was taken into custody.

No injuries were reported but there was damage to both vehicles.

Bartlett was transported to the Lubbock County Jail and booked for Aggravated Assault, Evading and Resisting Arrest.
