LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Roadways are back open after a semi tractor trailer overturned on US 84 just east of Littlefield in the west bound lanes around 12 a.m. Friday.

The road was reopened around 10:45 a.m.

The semi was traveling westbound on US 84 and lost control when it hydroplaned during the rain last night.

The semi rolled onto its side on the right shoulder.  The driver was not injured.

The trailer was unloaded of perishable items to turn the vehicle upright.

The semi could not be turned upright sooner due to wet and slick roadways.
