Loose Cows Cause Two Crashes

Loose cows are blamed for three collisions in Hockley County.

It happened about 10:15 Thursday night on Highway 6282 near the Lubbock County Line where 3 cows were running loose. The driver of a pick-up truck was the first to hit a cow. Then a tractor trailer swerved to avoid the other two cows, crossed the highway and rolled over. Finally, a second semi-truck collided with the remaining cows.

Two people suffered minor injuries in the crashes.
