Routine Traffic Stop In South Lubbock Turns Into Car Chase - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust in south Lubbock Friday afternoon.

DPS Troopers tried to pull over a Mustang on Highway 87 just before Noon, but the driver would not stop and led troopers on a chase through a neighborhood. The driver finally pulled into his own driveway in the 5400 Block of Avenue B where he was arrested.

Deputies also uncovered marijuana from the car, so the driver faces a number of charges including drug possession.
