Volunteers Help Seed New Beginning

With gardening tools in hand, members of Leadership Lubbock volunteered their time to help landscape six Habitat for Humanity homes, Saturday.

Leadership Lubbock used donations from local businesses to buy seeds, shrubs, flowers, water hoses and sprinklers for the yards and landscaping. A professional landscaper helped with the layout for each home, and the homeowners also got their hands dirty while helping plant.

Leadership Lubbock donated a Bar-B-Q grill that will be placed in the habitat community park in the 2300 block of Duke.
