Locals gathered this morning for the 2016 Curesearch Walk held at Buddy Holly Park.

The event celebrates, honors, and remembers children who have been affected by cancer.

The 5th annual walk included music, food, and fun activities all in an effort to raise awareness.

"Raise money, raise awareness and get people out here for a cause, because we want the kids to grow up to be adults," said Leanae Juno from the Covenant Health Cancer Center.
