Bank Fraud Trial Begins For Lubbock Businessmen

Three Lubbock businessmen are on trial Monday for their roles in an alleged bank fraud scheme.

Former First State Bank President Tom Darden and businessmen Frank and Rick Thompson were indicted on 21 counts in January. They are accused of defrauding First State Bank and State National Bank of $2.5 million.

Stockbroker and former LISD board member Monte Hasie was not accused in the January indictments. But, he will be tried with the others on multiple charges from an indictment last October.
