LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Construction is underway at Lubbock Cooper ISD's new ag facilities.

This includes a 7,500 square-foot addition to the show barn and the renovation of existing animal pens, which are just south of the high school.

Funds for the approximately $2.2 million dollar expansion come from the approval of the district's May 2014 bond election.

This construction project is expected to take about a year.
