Wayland Baptist baseball to host open tryouts on Nov. 12

PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) -

Wayland Baptist baseball will host a tryout, open to graduating high school seniors and junior college players with remaining eligibility, on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Registration will take place at noon at the front entrance to Wilder Field on the Wayland campus, followed by the tryout at 1 p.m.

There is no cost to participate in the tryout, which is taking place in conjunction with Gold Rush, Wayland’s fall preview event. F

    The Texas Tech vs. Arkansas game, which was originally supposed to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, was pushed back to today at 11, but they were in a weather delay. Nearly two and a half hours later, officials have tweeted that game 8 between Arkansas and Texas Tech will have a first pitch of 2:30 p.m.
