LPD searching for answers in Barbara Hinojosa murder, 25 years later

On October 12, 1991 at approximately 9:25 a.m., Barbara Jean Hinojosa was found deceased inside her residence located at 217 E. 37th Street. Barbara’s home was burglarized and she was stabbed multiple times.

The investigation revealed she was murdered sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday, October 11, and 9 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 1991.

This year marks 25 years since she was found murdered. However, her case remains very active and over the last year investigators have re-interviewed multiple people about the case.

Investigators hope someone with information will come forward with a tip that could help close the case.
