LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Customers at a Lubbock barber shop are getting more than a haircut.

They're also getting their fair share of political news and even election coverage.

When you go to Jerry's Barber Shop, you'll find the familiar sights and sounds.

Maurice Stanley took ownership of the place after the former owner, his cousin, retired.

"I was going to do this again for about three months, and those three months never come around," he says.

But, if you listen closely and pay attention, you'll also find discussions on some "buzzing" topics.

"'Cause her name is Clinton, she's going to get it," Stanley says. "She's going to get hounded a lot more."

While some of his employees have a different opinion.

"I don't like any of them," Teresa Robinson says. "But, I'm voting for Trump, because he couldn't be any worse than what we've got or what we could get."

Stanley says he still wears his John Kasich button to show his allegiance.

"See, that's why I supported Kasich," he says.

If the big "K for Us" button didn't give it away, then maybe the Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump pinatas will.

"Maurice watches the Hillary station, MSNBC, and then he watches and he calls Fox the Trump station," Robinson says.

While Stanley says he's voting for Gary Johnson.

"I don't know if, in my lifetime, if there's ever been an election that has been so, people have been so divided," he says.

The main ingredient this business owner is looking for in a candidate?

"Identify the problem and work to find solutions to the problem," he says.

All in fun, these co-workers and customers all get a chance to use these barber chairs as their political platform.
