LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Texas Tech University's School of Theatre and Dance presents "Heathers: The Musical."

It is based off the cult classic 1988 film, Heathers, which takes the audience back to the days of Madonna and MC Hammer.

"It is a very sort of eclectic, pop rock musical," said Director Dr. Jonathan Marks.

The peppy, upbeat musical focuses on being seventeen, and all of the high school drama that goes along with that.

Tickets are $18 for individuals and $5 for students with a valid student ID.

The production will run October 20-23 in the Maedgen Mainstage Theatre, located at 2812 18th Street, between Boston and Flint Avenues.

Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

For more information, please call the Maedgen Theatre Box Office at (806) 742-3603.
