12-year-old ejected, 2 others hospitalized after US Hwy. 84 crash

SHALLOWATER, TX (KCBD) -

Three people have been hospitalized after a crash on US 84 at FM 2641, just northeast of the North Frankford Ave. intersection.

The crash happened just before 2:44 p.m.

According to deputies with the Department of Public Safety, they received a call about a rollover. During the investigation, they learned an 85-year-old woman from Lubbock was driving a passenger vehicle northbound on FM 2641 when she tried to cross US Hwy 84. She collided with an SUV which was headed westbound on US Hwy. 84.

The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old woman from Shallowater and a 12-year-old passenger, were taken to the hospital. The driver of the passenger vehicle was also taken to the hospital.

The 12-year-old child was not restrained in the SUV and was ejected during the crash.

Officials say the injuries for everyone involved are not life threatening.
