We are less than three weeks away from the November presidential election and Texas is ready with a record 15 million registered voters. Early voting begins Monday.
Our right to vote is one of our most important privileges and responsibilities.
Many have died securing that right; and some have even died exercising it.
Voting effects change and allows your voice to be heard.
No matter how weary we may be of this long election season, or how disenchanted we might feel with the choices, for most of us, a vote in this presidential election is bigger than the individuals involved.
There are issues, appointments, laws to be passed, and policies to be established.
Consider this: The Republic is stronger and more resilient than any one election or political party.
Whatever party you support, whoever your candidate is, whatever issues you hold dear, I encourage you to exercise your right and responsibility to vote.
Because when all is said and done, we the American people get the government we deserve.
