Discussions continue about ways to fund the Marsh Sharp Freeway Project in order to get the construction completed sooner.
A joint meeting of the Lubbock City Council, Wolffoth City Council, Lubbock County Commissioners, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization will take place at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center on Monday morning. They will discuss funding options for the freeway. One of the four proposed options includes the possibility of a toll road that would cost drivers $2 for a round-trip drive around the freeway.
